The history of Yandex began long before the formation of the company - back in the early 1990s. The company itself appeared in 2000 - three years after the launch of the web portal yandex.ru. At that time, the team consisted of 25 people, and all the data were placed on one server. Nowadays Yandex has offices and representative establishments in nine countries, about 8,000 people work for the company.
